It's a moment to reminisce about Dolan family graduations gone by. There was a definite protocol that developed over the years. Monica has a medical update from last week. Turns out its true that mustard and picke juice are good for you. Who knew? Sheila reviews Darling Companion. Doesn't love it. Could it be that she's not a dog lover? Liz teaches her parents how to get Movies On Demand from their cable box. She's not hopeful that the lesson stuck. Julie has quick news update on North Korea, Three words: Don't Be Fooled. Julie, Liz and Monica tackle the world one cup of coffee at a time. First, news on how to sign up for the Satellite Sisters Challenge. Monica and Julie both got on board this week. Then, hey Secret Service. What's the deal? Really? Julie has some home remedies she'd like to run by our staff R.N. Monica which gives Liz an opening for a glute activation update. Monica has a book confession. Julie has a TV confession. And Liz has a sports confession. Despite her best efforts to provide a nice quiet afternoon for their father the Red Sox fan, the usual family divisions cropped up when the Yankees proceeded to crush them at Fenway Park on Saturday. After crushing them on Friday too. And finally, Monica remembers Levon Helm of The Band. He died this week. We end with a small musical salute. |

Julie, our personal expert on North Korea because she just visited Pyongyang last year, gives us her perspective on the big dud rocket, plus she revives the First Ladies Desk to speak our on this week's kerfuffle about stay-at-home moms versus working moms. Plus, she's on Golf Ball Watch. She thinks her dog ate one. Monica wants to be sure we understand the difference between these two movies: Jeff, Who LIves At Home and We Need To Talk About Kevin. Happy April Fools Day. It's the anniversary of our very first Satellite Sisters radio broadcast! On today's show, Lian, Sheila, Liz and Julie share the weeks events plus a Listener Mailbag with questions + observations pulled from our Satellite Sisters Facebook Group page. In the news, Lian loves a lottery! So much bonding over the Mega Millions. Julie finds the Supreme Court arguments about the health care law surprisingly lowbrow. Broccoli? Cell Phones? We thought this was about the law! Plus she has a theory about how the decision will come out. Sheila tells us a little more about her daily patterns around Pasadena. There's a new stop in addition to her usual Vons, BofA and Zushi Sushi. And Liz missed all the lottery and Supreme Court excitement this week, but did experience to total happening in Barcelona. She's not one to let a little light rioting spoil a good time. |
